Why idealism in youth is vital for a nation? Is the youth of the 21st century idealistic?
Give me just one generation of youth and I will transform the whole world.
There must be something very special about youth, which compelled the famous Russian revolutionary to praise youth in such a strong way. Otherwise, among plenty of things available on earth, Lenin might have asked for anything but he demanded only youth. If a great revolutionary emphasizes youth then there must be some extraordinary-powers with them.
I wonder that, does the youth of the present day meet Lenin's aspiration?
I think Lenin must have aspired for youth engrossed in idealism.
Not just Lenin aspired for idealistic youth. Even, our country needs an idealistic youth to prevent corruption because idealism is lacking in India’s youth.
I am not saying it, this is indicated by the report of the committee on the prevention of the corruption, on page 109 the reports read,
“Ways and means have to be found to ensure that idealism and patriotism have the proper place in the ambitions of our youth”.
IDEALISM EXPLAINED
But, what does "IDEALISM" mean?
Is it to refrain from dating?
Do you need to leave home for society to become ideal?
Is it staying always in a rebellious mode whatever might
be the issue?
I believe that the answers to the above questions are “NO”.
Thus, you can be an ideal youth if you do the choice of your work with an indefatigable attitude. You don’t need to oppose everything unnecessarily. Being ideal doesn’t take your right to be rational. In fact, you can become ideal if and only if you are rational.
But the youth of the 21st century is lost. He/she is busy using social media and simultaneously forgetting about the social world around him. Consuming content on social media is their hobby rather than creating.
Is this the youth Lenin wanted from the world and our country needs to prevent corruption?
Certainly not!
Lenin's Idealistic Youth
I staunchly believe that the youth which Lenin and India
aspired for is one who is free from the existing notions of the world.
Youth who refuse to see the world, in an exact way told to them.
A youth who respects his/her culture and volubly condemns the ill customs under the banner of culture.
A Youth has his own definition of God, based on his/her experience only.
Youth who believes in Social Justice and is willing to strive for it.
A Youth who refuse to discriminate someone on the basis of religion, caste, creed, and color and don’t tolerate the same on him/her.
If these are your qualities then you are an idealistic youth. Your age (20-30) has a special advantage; you don’t need to train yourself to achieve them. These are inbuilt characteristics of youth. Remember, Idealism is the nature of youth.
You might have reasons for not believing me, but the words of Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi must matter to you,
Revolutionaries, Education and, Idealism
Remember Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Lenin, Swami Vivekanand, and many others who were young and created history. They did so because of their idealism.
You don’t need to become like them, you just need to listen to the idealistic voice in you which compels you to outrage. This is what you must do for your nation at least.
Young people must take it upon themselves to ensure that they receive the highest education possible so that they can represent us well in the future as future leaders.
None of the revolutions in this world were fought without the power of youth. Youth powers reside in their idealism. Stay idealistic and roar against injustice.
